About the company

Gem Diamonds is a diamond mining company based in the United Kingdom that recovers rough diamonds from its mine in the highlands of Lesotho. The company sells its production, which includes large stones recovered from the ore, to diamond buyers and cutters through tender sales. Its operations centre on the Letšeng mine, and it has also held mining interests in Botswana. Gem Diamonds serves the international diamond trade rather than retail customers.
