China Coal Energy is a coal mining company based in Beijing that produces and sells thermal coal to power generators, steelmakers and other industrial users. It also runs coal chemical operations making products such as methanol and urea, builds coal mining equipment, and operates power plants. Its activities span mining, processing and distribution of coal, serving customers in China and in export markets.
